Privacy Policy
Your tool inputs stay in your browser by default.
Every free calculator and assessment is computed in your browser. Raw answers are not sent to us as part of ordinary free-tool use. Separate choices can involve a server: an optional account, newsletter, premium report, or — after a TypeAtlas result — an adult-only research contribution containing four axis positions and fixed version metadata. The research choice is unselected, optional, and independent of access to the result. We keep these workflows distinct, use a short list of providers, and never sell your data. The full picture is below.
Who we are
LifeByLogic ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent publication of interactive tools operated by Nexus Decision Systems LLC, an Ohio limited liability company headquartered at 6545 Market Ave. North, STE 100, Canton, OH 44721, USA. Nexus Decision Systems LLC is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through lifebylogic.com and its subdomains.

What we collect — and what we don’t
We deliberately collect as little as possible. Free-tool scoring runs on your device; optional server workflows — an account, newsletter, premium report, or separately consented TypeAtlas research contribution — are clearly identified. Here is the complete picture.
- Your inputs to free tools: processed in your browser by JavaScript on your device. Raw answers are not transmitted during ordinary free-tool scoring. Browser-local storage may retain a result on your device for an optional saved-result or report workflow.
- Server logs: our host (Cloudflare) keeps short-term request logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and performance. These are not linked to your identity.
- Aggregate analytics: Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization enabled, tells us in aggregate which pages and tools get used. For the current TypeAtlas compatibility proof cohort, the custom event names and parameters we add are limited to an allowlisted source page and pair, whether the assessment was started or completed, and an optional yes-or-not-yet usefulness signal. We never add assessment answers, item responses, scores, type results, written feedback, referrers, timing, or user or attempt identifiers to those custom events. As with our existing analytics, GA4 may separately attach ordinary event time and pseudonymous cookie, client, session, page, or referrer context. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
- An optional TypeAtlas research observation, only after separate adult consent: four integer E/I, S/N, T/F, and J/P axis positions, the research protocol version, the TypeAtlas instrument version, the consent-notice version, and a server-derived UTC collection day. The consent signal must be true for acceptance but is not stored as a personal field. The research request body and database row contain no raw answers, item identifiers, type label, closest alternatives, name, email, account ID, cookie or session ID, IP address, referrer, free text, purchase information, or cross-session identifier.
- Your email, if you subscribe to The Logic Letter newsletter.
- Your account details, if you create an optional account — your email address and the results or settings you choose to save.
- Purchase details, if you buy a premium report — your email, billing and tax information handled by our payment processor, a record of what you bought, and the assessment answers needed to generate that specific report.
- A privacy-preserving signal for the “like” button — a one-way hashed value derived from your network address, used only to stop the same person counting a reaction twice. It does not identify you and cannot be reversed.
- Anything you email us — kept only as long as needed to handle your message, then deleted on request.
What we do not do: we do not sell or rent your data, we do not run advertising networks, retargeting, or behavioral ad pixels, and we do not build marketing profiles of you.
How the free tools work
Every free calculator and assessment — the Brain Age Index, the Sleep-Cognition Optimizer, the personality and screening tools, and the rest — is scored in your browser using client-side JavaScript. You enter inputs, the computation happens on your device, and the result appears on your screen. Ordinary free-tool scoring sends no raw answers to us.
You can verify this yourself in your browser’s Network tools: no ordinary free-tool request carries raw answers. Optional server workflows are separate and labeled. Premium reports are described below. TypeAtlas also has a distinct, post-result research pilot: its availability check contains no result data, and an observation is sent only after the adult consent checkbox and contribution button are both used.
Optional TypeAtlas research pilot
TypeAtlas computes the 32 answers, four axis positions, type shorthand, and closest alternatives on your device. After the result appears, a separate research panel may check whether the pilot is accepting contributions. That status request carries no result data and is sent without browser credentials or a referrer. Unless the canonical production endpoint confirms that every collection gate is open, the consent checkbox and contribution button remain disabled and no observation can be submitted.
If collection is open, adults age 18 or older may check an initially unselected box and choose to contribute. The request body contains only four integer axis positions, fixed protocol, instrument, and consent-notice versions, and a required true consent signal. The database row contains the four positions, the versions, and a server-generated UTC collection day. It contains no raw answer, item identifier, type label, nearest alternative, name, email, account ID, cookie or session ID, IP address, referrer, free text, purchase information, precise timestamp, or cross-session identifier. The research handler does not read those identifying headers or add them to the research row. Cloudflare still processes ordinary short-term request metadata for security and delivery, separately from the research dataset.
The type shorthand, closest alternatives, and axis-ambiguity measures are not transmitted or stored as separate fields, but future analysis can reconstruct them deterministically from the four contributed axis positions under the locked TypeAtlas v1.0 scoring rules.
Participation is voluntary, does not change the free result or any purchase option, and is separate from GA4 analytics. You can withdraw before sending by leaving the box unchecked or choosing “No thanks.” After submission, no lookup identifier or receipt token exists, so we cannot locate, return, or delete one observation in response to an individual request. Observation rows are retained for no longer than 24 months from their UTC collection day. Disclosure-controlled aggregate tables and their correction history may be retained for reproducibility.
The sample is self-selected and may include repeat submissions from one person because no cross-session identifier is collected. Any future report must describe consented submissions, not unique users or participants; report the collection window, missing-data exclusions, uncertainty, and denominators; suppress small cells; and avoid population-prevalence claims. This pilot publishes no finding or indexable research page unless its documented sample and owner-review gates are met.
Accounts
You can use almost everything on LifeByLogic without an account. If you choose to create one, we store your email address and the results, settings, or saved tools you decide to keep — so you can return to them, and so we can generate a personalized newsletter edition from your own results if you opt in. Some account features are part of LifeGraph+, an optional paid subscription described under “Premium reports and payments” below. You can edit or delete your saved data, or close the account entirely, at any time by writing to hello@lifebylogic.com. Keeping your login credentials secure is your responsibility.
LifeGraph+ cross-reading analysis
Updated September 24, 2026. When you confirm an analysis, LifeGraph+ uses the configured analysis provider, Anthropic Claude or OpenAI GPT Sol, to synthesize the inputs you choose. Provider information is kept in this policy. We send your question, the selected saved assessment labels, versions, dates and original-scale values, and any additional evidence you explicitly approve as described below. We do not include your name, email, account identifier, raw answers, journal entries or billing data. Keep identifying or sensitive details out of your question and any text you approve. We do not silently switch providers within a request.
The latest reading, its source snapshot and your question are cached with your account for up to seven days so an unchanged request can reuse it. Counts of completed readings and analysis attempts are kept for the 24-hour usage window. Failed analysis does not use a completed reading; a separate attempt limit bounds retries. These records are included in your account export and removed with account deletion.
Saved insights, added September 22, 2026. Choosing “Save insight” keeps an encrypted copy of that reading: your question, its interpretation, the exact original assessment values and dates, and the assessment and reading versions, and the analysis provider and model. This optional saved copy is separate from the seven-day cache and remains until you delete it or your account. Reopening it makes no new analysis request and does not substitute newer results. Your graph context and daily notes are not added to the original analysis.
You can read, export and delete saved insights after cancelling LifeGraph+, while your account remains active. Deleting an insight removes its question, interpretation and source snapshot. A small operational deletion record, with no question or reading text, remains until account deletion to prevent a delayed retry from restoring it.
Starting a plan from an insight keeps a separate encrypted copy of its question, original reading and sources until you delete the plan or your account; deleting the saved insight does not remove the plan’s copy.
Context and follow-ups, added September 23, 2026. If you explicitly add context or a correction, we also send that note. For a follow-up on the current reading, we send its original question, its original note if any, and only the prior theme you selected, alongside the selected results. The notes and prior-theme copy stay with the resulting reading in its seven-day cache and any insight or plan you choose to save. Each saved copy is included in account export and independently retained until you delete it or your account; deleting an earlier insight does not erase its evidence from a separately saved follow-up or plan. Unselected graph context and daily notes are not sent. Keep identifying or sensitive details out of notes as well as questions.
Daily experience and synthesis, added September 24, 2026. When you select daily experience for an analysis, we send the selected dated mood, energy and stress ratings on their original 1–5 scales, their labels, a date range of up to 30 days and its time zone, and summaries such as ranges, averages and counts of logged, missing or invalid values. You review the exact values and can remove individual signals or all daily evidence before confirming. Personal context you write is separate. Private check-in notes and factor selections are not copied into this evidence or sent with it; sleep values are excluded. The approved daily evidence follows the reading cache and saved-copy retention described below.
Reviewed learning, added September 24, 2026. You can choose one reviewed plan to use with one to four saved assessment results and any daily evidence you select. After you review and confirm the selection, we send the plan’s goal, action, occasion and intended outcome; its seven dated tried, not-tried or missing observations and their counts; your keep, adjust or stop decision and self-rated usefulness and effort; the review date, plan dates and time zone; and a takeaway of up to 600 characters that you explicitly write and approve. We do not add private observation notes, the raw review reflection or adjustment text, the original analysis behind the plan, or operational record identifiers to this provider evidence. The plan remains unchanged. Reviewed learning is selected for each analysis, not automatically added as permanent personal memory.
The approved daily and reviewed-plan evidence stays with the resulting reading in its seven-day cache. Saving an insight, starting a plan from it or saving a decision keeps a separate encrypted snapshot, including the approved takeaway when present. Each saved copy is included in account export and independently retained until you delete that item or your account. Deleting an original daily entry, reviewed plan or earlier insight does not erase its evidence from a separately saved insight, plan or decision.
Return record, added September 27, 2026. To learn whether members come back, your account keeps a content-free return record: the UTC day and time at which the site showed your weekly review, released a reading, reopened a kept insight or saved a check-in, and which of those it was. It holds no question, values, titles or text, is not sent to any analysis provider, is included in your account export, and is erased with your account. The site owner sees only counts that exclude internal accounts and the date the record began.
Analysis record, added September 27, 2026. Each cross-reading attempt also leaves a content-free operational record: when it was decided, the stage it reached and a fixed reason word, the analysis provider, model and reading protocol version, whether a plan or the free reading admitted it, how many saved results it used, the number of tokens the provider reported, how long its call took, whether a service fault was refunded, and an attempt number. Refusals before an attempt are recorded once per day and reason, and exact replays once per day. It holds no question, result values or text, is included in your account export, and is erased with your account. The site owner sees only counts, totals and typical durations for members’ accounts, including token totals, readings received and an estimated provider cost by model and by the account’s access when the attempt was decided (paying, in a trial, its free reading or other access; attempts before the billing record began are kept apart), the date the record began, and the number of attempts made by the site’s own internal accounts.
Billing record, added September 28, 2026. Each payment-provider event about your subscription that the site processes, and each subscription status check that changes the stored plan, status or period end, leaves a content-free billing record: the kind of event or check, the plan and subscription status stored for your account before it and the ones the provider’s current state gave after it, the period-end date at that time, whether cancellation at the end of the period is scheduled, whether a trial is running, whether the price is monthly or annual, the reason category chosen from the provider’s list when cancelling and whether the cancellation was requested (by you, or by us on your behalf) or the provider ended the subscription after a failed or disputed payment (never your written comment), the provider’s identifier and time for an event or a check identifier, and when the site processed it. It holds no amount, currency, card details, invoice or provider customer identifier, is not sent to any analysis provider, is included in your account export without the event or check identifier, and is erased with your account. The site owner sees only counts and totals for members’ accounts (first payments by billing interval, trial starts, conversions and unpaid ends, renewals, failed payment attempts and recoveries, cancellations scheduled, reversed and completed, why subscriptions and trials ended by category, accounts recorded with an active paid subscription, and how many members were paying or in a trial during a period and their total time in each), the dates the billing record and its reason categories began, and the number of events from the site’s own internal accounts.
Care hold, added October 7, 2026. When the site’s safety screen finds words that suggest you may be in crisis, in a reading question or in words you save for yourself such as a Today note or a plan, it shows support lines and no upgrade offers for the rest of that visit. The analysis provider is also asked whether the words you send with a reading suggest this; when it says they do, the site shows the same support lines and no upgrade offers, and its reply is neither shown nor kept. Your account then keeps a content-free care hold for 30 days from the latest such moment: only when it was set and when it ends. It holds none of your words and not where you typed them, is not sent to any analysis provider, keeps the LifeGraph+ offer out of your Logic Letter until it ends, is included in your account export, and is erased with your account. The site owner’s views do not show or count it.
Trial reminder, added October 8, 2026. If you start a LifeGraph+ free trial, we send you one email a few days before its first charge, through Resend, with the day the trial ends, the price that will be charged and a button to cancel. It names no result, score or reading. To send it only once, your account keeps a content-free reminder record: the trial’s end date, whether the payment provider’s notice or the site’s daily check sent it, when sending began, and whether and when it was sent. When your subscription is set to end, your account also keeps the date it ends, until that date has passed, so the app can show it. Neither is sent to any analysis provider; both are included in your account export, the reminder record without the time sending began, and both are erased with your account.
Provider processing is governed by Anthropic’s privacy policy or OpenAI’s privacy policy, depending on the configured analysis provider.
Premium reports and payments
Some in-depth reports are paid, one-time products — for example the Attachment Style Decoder, the Career Choice Signature, and several Family Lab reports. We also offer LifeGraph+, an optional subscription billed monthly or yearly that renews automatically until you cancel.
Payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number; for a subscription, Stripe keeps your payment method on file to bill the recurring charge until you cancel. To build a report, the assessment answers you provide for it are sent to our server, used solely to prepare your personalized document. Each report is an analysis and synthesis of your own results, made with an AI model as the analysis tool: we send the results and answers the analysis needs, never your name or email address, to Anthropic, our analysis provider, whose Claude model analyzes them within our report framework and sets out the analysis in words. The finished report is stored for 30 days so you can download it again, and a copy is delivered to your email through Resend. We do not use your purchase inputs to advertise to you, and we never sell them.

Newsletter
If you subscribe to The Logic Letter, we collect only your email address and use it only to send you the newsletter — and, if you opt in, a personalized edition based on your own results. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we never share or sell the list.
Cookies and tracking
Analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (typically _ga and _ga_DHQD28QKCF) to tell unique visits apart. IP anonymization is enabled, the data is used only in aggregate, including the limited TypeAtlas proof-cohort events described above, and these cookies expire after 24 months. To opt out across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Functional cookies. If you sign in or save a preference such as dark mode, we use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember that choice. During checkout, Stripe may set its own cookies to process payment and prevent fraud.
TypeAtlas research. The pilot’s status check and any separately consented observation request use credentials: omit and a no-referrer policy. The research workflow does not set or use a cookie, client ID, session ID, or other cross-session identifier. Cloudflare may still process ordinary request metadata for short-term security and delivery.
Page counts. Added October 8, 2026. Some pages add one to a daily count when something happens there, such as a first answer or a result on a test page, the sign-in page or the LifeGraph+ plans being shown, a checkout starting, or a new account being created. A count holds only the UTC day and the time it last went up, a fixed event word, a fixed word for where it happened or how the visitor arrived (on a test page, the test’s name) and whether it came from a visitor, a member or one of the site’s own accounts. It holds no account, answer, score, result, typed text or address, and counting sets no cookie. To limit abuse, the connection’s IP address is held for at most an hour after its last count, only to cap how often it counts. The site owner sees only these daily totals.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting tags, social-media pixels, or behavioral ad tracking.
Service providers
We rely on a short list of trusted providers to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
- Cloudflare — hosting, security, edge compute, storage for premium reports, and D1 storage for separately consented TypeAtlas research observations. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention for premium reports and LifeGraph+ subscriptions. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic — the analysis provider for premium reports: its Claude model analyzes the results and answers each report needs, never your name or email address, and sets out the analysis in words. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
- Resend — sends the newsletter and account emails, such as sign-in links and the LifeGraph+ trial reminder, and delivers purchased reports and our email replies. See Resend’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — aggregate, IP-anonymized visit measurement and the limited TypeAtlas proof-cohort interaction events described above. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not embed social-media widgets or advertising networks that would expose you to additional third-party tracking.
AI crawlers and content indexing
We explicitly permit AI crawlers — including GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic), PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and similar — to index our publicly-available content. This is a deliberate choice: when AI systems cite our methodology, our work reaches more people.
These crawlers only access public pages. They cannot reach tool inputs that are not exposed on public pages, nor anything behind your account or a purchase. Separately consented TypeAtlas research observations go only to the protected research endpoint described above, not to crawler-accessible pages.
Your privacy rights
For the limited personal data we do hold — a newsletter email, account details, purchase records, or past correspondence — you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete it. Email hello@lifebylogic.com and we will respond within 30 days.
A TypeAtlas research observation is deliberately stored without a name, contact detail, account, cookie, IP address, receipt token, or other lookup identifier. You may withdraw before submission. After submission, we cannot determine which unlinked row is yours and therefore cannot access, return, correct, or delete one row on an individual basis. The fixed 24-month row-level retention ceiling still applies.
If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data and to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it — and we do not sell or share your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Data retention
We keep each kind of data only as long as we need it:
- Newsletter email: while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, or never confirm a sign-up, we keep the address with its sign-up record and dates and send it no newsletter unless you subscribe again. You can ask us to remove it at any time, and deleting your account also removes the newsletter record of its confirmed email.
- Account data: until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.
- LifeGraph+ readings: the latest cached reading lasts up to seven days. An insight you explicitly save remains encrypted until you delete it or your account; its content-free deletion record remains until account deletion.
- Premium reports and purchase records: a report can be downloaded for 30 days after it is ready, and then its PDF is deleted, and the results it was made from are deleted a day later; if you don’t complete the payment, what the checkout sent is deleted after 24 hours. Transaction and tax records are kept for as long as applicable tax and accounting law requires.
- TypeAtlas research observations: no longer than 24 months from the server-derived UTC collection day. Disclosure-controlled aggregate tables and their correction history may be retained for reproducibility. A status check creates no research row.
- Server logs: short-term, on Cloudflare’s standard schedule.
- Analytics: retained according to our Google Analytics configuration.
- Email correspondence: deleted on request.
Children’s privacy
LifeByLogic is intended for adults. Our tools are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Creating an account or buying a premium report requires you to be an adult in your jurisdiction. Contributing a TypeAtlas research observation is limited to people who affirm that they are 18 or older in a separate, initially unselected consent control. Some tools — for example, the parenting tools in the Family Lab — are written for an adult to use about a child; they are completed by the adult, not the child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete identifiable information promptly. An unlinked TypeAtlas observation cannot be traced to one person, but its 24-month row-level retention ceiling still applies.
Medical, financial, and legal information
The tools on this site — including the Brain Age Index, the screening and assessment tools, and all reports — are educational decision-support tools, not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. They do not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and they are not a substitute for a qualified professional. See our Disclaimer.
Free-tool scoring and raw-answer processing happen on your device. A premium-report purchase sends the inputs needed to generate that report. Separately, an adult may explicitly consent after a TypeAtlas result to send only four axis positions and fixed version metadata to the research pilot; raw TypeAtlas answers are not included. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and the data you provide is not “protected health information” in that legal sense — but we still treat it carefully and never sell it.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy — for example, when we add a feature, work with a new provider, or to reflect a change in the law. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change, and we will announce material changes prominently on the site.
Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
