Privacy Policy

LifeByLogic ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent publication of interactive tools operated by Nexus Decision Systems LLC, an Ohio limited liability company headquartered at 6545 Market Ave. North, STE 100, Canton, OH 44721, USA. Nexus Decision Systems LLC is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through lifebylogic.com and its subdomains.

We deliberately collect as little as possible. Free-tool scoring runs on your device; optional server workflows — an account, newsletter, premium report, or separately consented TypeAtlas research contribution — are clearly identified. Here is the complete picture.

• Your inputs to free tools: processed in your browser by JavaScript on your device. Raw answers are not transmitted during ordinary free-tool scoring. Browser-local storage may retain a result on your device for an optional saved-result or report workflow.
• Server logs: our host (Cloudflare) keeps short-term request logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and performance. These are not linked to your identity.
• Aggregate analytics: Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization enabled, tells us in aggregate which pages and tools get used. For the current TypeAtlas compatibility proof cohort, the custom event names and parameters we add are limited to an allowlisted source page and pair, whether the assessment was started or completed, and an optional yes-or-not-yet usefulness signal. We never add assessment answers, item responses, scores, type results, written feedback, referrers, timing, or user or attempt identifiers to those custom events. As with our existing analytics, GA4 may separately attach ordinary event time and pseudonymous cookie, client, session, page, or referrer context. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
• An optional TypeAtlas research observation, only after separate adult consent: four integer E/I, S/N, T/F, and J/P axis positions, the research protocol version, the TypeAtlas instrument version, the consent-notice version, and a server-derived UTC collection day. The consent signal must be true for acceptance but is not stored as a personal field. The research request body and database row contain no raw answers, item identifiers, type label, closest alternatives, name, email, account ID, cookie or session ID, IP address, referrer, free text, purchase information, or cross-session identifier.
• Your email, if you subscribe to The Logic Letter newsletter.
• Your account details, if you create an optional account — your email address and the results or settings you choose to save.
• Purchase details, if you buy a premium report — your email, billing and tax information handled by our payment processor, a record of what you bought, and the assessment answers needed to generate that specific report.
• A privacy-preserving signal for the “like” button — a one-way hashed value derived from your network address, used only to stop the same person counting a reaction twice. It does not identify you and cannot be reversed.
• Anything you email us — kept only as long as needed to handle your message, then deleted on request.

What we do not do: we do not sell or rent your data, we do not run advertising networks, retargeting, or behavioral ad pixels, and we do not build marketing profiles of you.

Every free calculator and assessment — the Brain Age Index, the Sleep-Cognition Optimizer, the personality and screening tools, and the rest — is scored in your browser using client-side JavaScript. You enter inputs, the computation happens on your device, and the result appears on your screen. Ordinary free-tool scoring sends no raw answers to us.

You can verify this yourself in your browser’s Network tools: no ordinary free-tool request carries raw answers. Optional server workflows are separate and labeled. Premium reports are described below. TypeAtlas also has a distinct, post-result research pilot: its availability check contains no result data, and an observation is sent only after the adult consent checkbox and contribution button are both used.

TypeAtlas computes the 32 answers, four axis positions, type shorthand, and closest alternatives on your device. After the result appears, a separate research panel may check whether the pilot is accepting contributions. That status request carries no result data and is sent without browser credentials or a referrer. Unless the canonical production endpoint confirms that every collection gate is open, the consent checkbox and contribution button remain disabled and no observation can be submitted.

If collection is open, adults age 18 or older may check an initially unselected box and choose to contribute. The request body contains only four integer axis positions, fixed protocol, instrument, and consent-notice versions, and a required true consent signal. The database row contains the four positions, the versions, and a server-generated UTC collection day. It contains no raw answer, item identifier, type label, nearest alternative, name, email, account ID, cookie or session ID, IP address, referrer, free text, purchase information, precise timestamp, or cross-session identifier. The research handler does not read those identifying headers or add them to the research row. Cloudflare still processes ordinary short-term request metadata for security and delivery, separately from the research dataset.

The type shorthand, closest alternatives, and axis-ambiguity measures are not transmitted or stored as separate fields, but future analysis can reconstruct them deterministically from the four contributed axis positions under the locked TypeAtlas v1.0 scoring rules.

Participation is voluntary, does not change the free result or any purchase option, and is separate from GA4 analytics. You can withdraw before sending by leaving the box unchecked or choosing “No thanks.” After submission, no lookup identifier or receipt token exists, so we cannot locate, return, or delete one observation in response to an individual request. Observation rows are retained for no longer than 24 months from their UTC collection day. Disclosure-controlled aggregate tables and their correction history may be retained for reproducibility.

The sample is self-selected and may include repeat submissions from one person because no cross-session identifier is collected. Any future report must describe consented submissions, not unique users or participants; report the collection window, missing-data exclusions, uncertainty, and denominators; suppress small cells; and avoid population-prevalence claims. This pilot publishes no finding or indexable research page unless its documented sample and owner-review gates are met.

You can use almost everything on LifeByLogic without an account. If you choose to create one, we store your email address and the results, settings, or saved tools you decide to keep — so you can return to them, and so we can generate a personalized newsletter edition from your own results if you opt in. Some account features are part of LifeGraph+, an optional paid subscription described under “Premium reports and payments” below. You can edit or delete your saved data, or close the account entirely, at any time by writing to hello@lifebylogic.com. Keeping your login credentials secure is your responsibility.

Some in-depth reports are paid, one-time products — for example the Attachment Style Decoder, the Career Choice Signature, The Sixteen, and several Family Lab reports. We also offer LifeGraph+, an optional subscription billed monthly or yearly that renews automatically until you cancel.

Payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number; for a subscription, Stripe keeps your payment method on file to bill the recurring charge until you cancel. To build a report, the assessment answers you provide for it are sent to our server, used solely to generate your personalized document; the finished report is then stored so you can download it again and is delivered to your email through Resend. We do not use your purchase inputs to advertise to you, and we never sell them.

If you subscribe to The Logic Letter, we collect only your email address and use it only to send you the newsletter — and, if you opt in, a personalized edition based on your own results. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we never share or sell the list.

Analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (typically _ga and _ga_DHQD28QKCF) to tell unique visits apart. IP anonymization is enabled, the data is used only in aggregate, including the limited TypeAtlas proof-cohort events described above, and these cookies expire after 24 months. To opt out across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Functional cookies. If you sign in or save a preference such as dark mode, we use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember that choice. During checkout, Stripe may set its own cookies to process payment and prevent fraud.

TypeAtlas research. The pilot’s status check and any separately consented observation request use credentials: omit and a no-referrer policy. The research workflow does not set or use a cookie, client ID, session ID, or other cross-session identifier. Cloudflare may still process ordinary request metadata for short-term security and delivery.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting tags, social-media pixels, or behavioral ad tracking.

We rely on a short list of trusted providers to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

• Cloudflare — hosting, security, edge compute, storage for premium reports, and D1 storage for separately consented TypeAtlas research observations. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention for premium reports. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Resend — sends the newsletter and delivers purchased reports and our email replies. See Resend’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics — aggregate, IP-anonymized visit measurement and the limited TypeAtlas proof-cohort interaction events described above. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

We do not embed social-media widgets or advertising networks that would expose you to additional third-party tracking.

We explicitly permit AI crawlers — including GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic), PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and similar — to index our publicly-available content. This is a deliberate choice: when AI systems cite our methodology, our work reaches more people.

These crawlers only access public pages. They cannot reach tool inputs that are not exposed on public pages, nor anything behind your account or a purchase. Separately consented TypeAtlas research observations go only to the protected research endpoint described above, not to crawler-accessible pages.

For the limited personal data we do hold — a newsletter email, account details, purchase records, or past correspondence — you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete it. Email hello@lifebylogic.com and we will respond within 30 days.

A TypeAtlas research observation is deliberately stored without a name, contact detail, account, cookie, IP address, receipt token, or other lookup identifier. You may withdraw before submission. After submission, we cannot determine which unlinked row is yours and therefore cannot access, return, correct, or delete one row on an individual basis. The fixed 24-month row-level retention ceiling still applies.

If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data and to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it — and we do not sell or share your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We keep each kind of data only as long as we need it:

• Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
• Account data: until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.
• Premium reports and purchase records: reports remain available to you while your access is active or until you request deletion; transaction and tax records are kept for as long as applicable tax and accounting law requires.
• TypeAtlas research observations: no longer than 24 months from the server-derived UTC collection day. Disclosure-controlled aggregate tables and their correction history may be retained for reproducibility. A status check creates no research row.
• Server logs: short-term, on Cloudflare’s standard schedule.
• Analytics: retained according to our Google Analytics configuration.
• Email correspondence: deleted on request.

LifeByLogic is intended for adults. Our tools are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Creating an account or buying a premium report requires you to be an adult in your jurisdiction. Contributing a TypeAtlas research observation is limited to people who affirm that they are 18 or older in a separate, initially unselected consent control. Some tools — for example, the parenting tools in the Family Lab — are written for an adult to use about a child; they are completed by the adult, not the child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete identifiable information promptly. An unlinked TypeAtlas observation cannot be traced to one person, but its 24-month row-level retention ceiling still applies.

The tools on this site — including the Brain Age Index, the screening and assessment tools, and all reports — are educational decision-support tools, not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. They do not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and they are not a substitute for a qualified professional. See our Disclaimer.

Free-tool scoring and raw-answer processing happen on your device. A premium-report purchase sends the inputs needed to generate that report. Separately, an adult may explicitly consent after a TypeAtlas result to send only four axis positions and fixed version metadata to the research pilot; raw TypeAtlas answers are not included. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and the data you provide is not “protected health information” in that legal sense — but we still treat it carefully and never sell it.

We may revise this policy — for example, when we add a feature, work with a new provider, or to reflect a change in the law. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change, and we will announce material changes prominently on the site.

Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
