What LifeByLogic is
LifeByLogic is an editorial publication of interactive decision-support tools grounded in peer-reviewed research. Every tool implements a validated instrument or framework from the academic literature and reports its result back to the user.
The publication is operated by Casina Decision Systems LLC, an Ohio limited liability company. Tools are developed by Abiot Y. Derbie, PhD and reviewed by Eskezeia Y. Dessie, PhD.
What LifeByLogic is not
Not medical advice. LifeByLogic does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. Tools that touch physical or mental health surface signals from validated research instruments. They are not a substitute for evaluation by a licensed healthcare professional. If you are concerned about your health, please consult a qualified provider.
Not psychological or psychiatric care. Tools that assess wellbeing, cognition, or behavior are not clinical instruments. They do not diagnose mental health conditions, do not constitute therapy, and do not substitute for evaluation by a licensed mental health professional. If you are in distress, please reach out to a qualified provider or crisis service.
Not financial, legal, tax, or career advice. Tools that touch life-direction model patterns based on the inputs you provide and the documented methodology of the tool. They do not prescribe choices, do not constitute personalized advice, and do not replace consultation with a qualified professional who knows your specific situation.
Educational decision support
The tools on LifeByLogic are educational decision support: they surface evidence-based patterns to help you reflect on your own situation more rigorously. They are descriptive, not prescriptive. They model possibilities, not certainties.
Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and the documented methodology of each tool. Different reasonable inputs would produce different reasonable outputs. We label uncertainty wherever we can.
Self-report and snapshot limitations
Most LifeByLogic tools rely on self-report inputs. Self-report is subject to mood, recent events, cultural response styles, and self-perception norms. Your result reflects how you currently perceive a situation, not an external measurement of it.
Most tools are also point-in-time snapshots. The patterns they surface fluctuate across weeks and seasons. A single use captures a moment, not a trend. Longitudinal use (re-taking every 3–6 months) is more informative than a single score.
Crisis resources
If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, please reach out to a crisis service. Tools on this site are not designed to assess or address acute risk.
