How we choose partners
What a partner link is
Some pages on LifeByLogic end with up to two short panels. Find the right help lists services, such as evidence-based programs, coaching or therapy. Keep learning lists university-level courses. Each item in them is a partner link: if you sign up or enroll through it, the partner may pay LifeByLogic a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Partner links help pay for the publication, beside the optional reports and the LifeGraph+ subscription that readers buy. They never change how a tool scores your answers, what a result says or what a report contains.
A shared edition of The Logic Letter may also carry one sponsor, chosen and vetted the same way and labeled Sponsor. Sponsor the Logic Letter sets out its rules.
Who can be a partner
LifeByLogic is a research-grounded publication, and its partners have to be as well: services whose methods rest on published research, and courses from universities and other recognized institutions. We do not list pop-psychology products or quizzes.
Each partner fits particular tests or labs, and its link appears only on pages about the tests or labs it fits.
How a partner is vetted
No partner is listed until one of our reviewers has confirmed that it exists and vetted it. Armin Allahverdy, PhD, vets health and sleep partners, and Eskezeia Y. Dessie, PhD, vets partners about method and courses.
- The research. The reviewer checks that what the partner offers rests on published research, and that the partner describes it in line with that research.
- The people. For a service, the reviewer checks who delivers it: care from clinicians must come from licensed clinicians, and coaching from credentialed coaches.
- Your data. A service partner must confirm in writing that it receives nothing from LifeByLogic but the click.
Each partner’s record keeps the reviewer’s name, the day it was vetted and the day its next review is due.
Reviewed every year
A partner’s next review is due no more than a year after it was vetted. When that day passes without a new review, the partner stops showing: its link leads back to this page instead of to the partner, and its panels come off.
Where partner links never appear
Partner links never appear on the Depression or Anxiety tests, on Learn pages about depression, anxiety, suicide, self-harm or a crisis, or beside any result held for care. Nothing for sale appears beside those results.
Everywhere else, a panel comes only after a page’s own content, such as an article, a report’s details or your saved results, and never above or in place of it.
If you are looking for care in the US, SAMHSA’s free FindTreatment.gov lists licensed treatment facilities, and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline answers calls and texts to 988 at any hour. We earn nothing from either.
Nothing about you goes with a click
Every partner link points to lifebylogic.com/api/go/ followed by two fixed words: the partner’s short name and the kind of page the link is on, such as a Learn article or a report page, or letter for a sponsor in The Logic Letter. From there you go straight to the partner’s fixed address with no referrer, so the partner is not told which page you read or what result you saw. No score, band, answer, email address or account goes with a click.
The fixed address may be a tracking link from the partner’s affiliate network, which is how a commission is credited to LifeByLogic. The network and the partner may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies; neither learns anything about you from LifeByLogic.
We count a click only as a daily total for each partner and kind of page, as our Privacy Policy describes, and Google Analytics does not record partner clicks.
How partners pay us
A partner pays LifeByLogic a commission when someone signs up or enrolls through its link, on the terms of its own program, and you pay the partner’s usual price. Every panel says so, and each partner carries its own disclosure line, as the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides require.
No partner can pay to skip vetting, to appear beside tests or topics it does not fit, or to change a tool, a result, a report or anything else we publish.
Current partners
No partner is listed yet. A partner appears here once a reviewer has vetted it, with the reviewer’s name and the day its next review is due.
Contact
To report a problem with a partner, or to suggest a service or course for review, write to hello@lifebylogic.com. A suggestion goes through the same vetting as every partner. Our Editorial Policy covers our independence more broadly.
